She writes.
Bri Bolden is a comedy writer with a focus on animated stories that center the “fish out of water” trope while also playing around with the idea of “family” and what that can look like.
She wrote her first “script” after finishing The Bodyguard (yes, that one) and fully believing that, at the age of twelve, she needed to be the one to write the sequel. She continued writing scripts but eventually took a different path after finding herself spending more time on the characters’ wardrobe than their words. Taking that to mean an interest in fashion, she went on to study Fashion Marketing and Management but after walking across the graduation stage realized that’s not what that meant at all. She has since, happily, returned to her love of writing.
When she’s not writing, she enjoys drawing and animating the characters from her stories. And if a complete break from the screen is what she’s after, she turns to working out to channel her inner Instagram athlete, spending an hour or so doing an artsy manicure, or buying flowers to DIY bouquets.
